Had to adjust the grind setting on my Breville Barista Express 4 steps finer with this new portafilter and basket. The espresso was actually sweet and so smooth, something I have never achieved with the standard Breville portafilter and basket.
It definitely produces more crema. Such big gains for such a small spend.
The Breville dosing collar even fit better. Very high quality.

I love the idea, but the mat itself is smaller than I had envisaged and it leave a large gap between it and where I have my coffee machine - which is pushed toward the back of the kitchen bench. Still, it works well for what it does, and sits flush with the bench.

Looks good and high quality. The only negative is that it doesnt maintain a strong vacuum for long, and requires regular (daily) maintenance to keep air out.
