Perfect Your Espresso — See Every Shot in Action
Take control of your espresso with the Brewing Culture 51mm Bottomless Portafilter, designed specifically to fit the Smeg 50’s Style ECF02 espresso machine.
By removing the spouts and exposing the filter basket, this bottomless (naked) portafilter allows you to see the entire extraction in real time — making it easier to identify channeling, uneven tamping, or grind inconsistencies. It’s an essential upgrade for anyone looking to improve shot quality and consistency at home.
Whether you’re dialling in your grind or upgrading from the stock portafilter, this tool helps you get the most out of your Smeg machine.

Wood Handle Care Instructions
Our wooden handles are made from natural wood, so each piece has its own unique grain and colour. With proper care, your handle will age beautifully over time.
To keep your handle in good condition:
• Do not place in the dishwasher
• Avoid soaking or prolonged contact with water
• Wipe dry after use if wet
• Do not leave attached to a hot group head for extended periods when not in use
• If possible, occasionally apply a small amount of food safe mineral oil to help maintain the wood and prevent drying or cracking
As wood is a natural material, slight changes in colour and texture over time are normal and part of its character.
